A Regenerative Approach to Ayurvedic Panchakarma & Whole-Person Wellbeing

A personalised Panchakarma journey guided by Ayurvedic assessment, individual suitability and the treating physician’s recommendations.

Our regenerative philosophy

Ayurvedic Panchakarma is traditionally structured around the individual’s constitution, current state of balance, digestive function and clinical suitability. The process and sequence should be guided by a qualified Ayurvedic physician.

The programme brings together Ayurvedic consultations and procedures with supportive nutrition, movement, rest and mindful practices, with the sequence adapted to the individual and the duration of stay.

Restore. Rebalance. Regenerate.

Panchakarma is a guided process, not a one-size-fits-all sequence. Assessment, preparation, therapeutic care and post-treatment guidance each have a role in the journey.

    Programme-specific duration and clinical sequence

This programme is offered as a single, complete duration: 14 nights. A genuine Panchakarma requires a minimum of 14 days for the three classical stages — Purvakarma, Pradhanakarma and Paschatkarma — to unfold in full. Shorter protocols of three to seven nights can offer a gentle, preparatory cleanse, but they close before the elimination and rejuvenation stages can be safely completed; they are a different, lighter offering and are not part of this programme.

Across the 14 nights, the body is first prepared to release toxins safely, then taken through the elimination procedures indicated for the individual, and finally guided back to a stable digestive and dietary baseline so the gains are carried home rather than lost at checkout.

    Stage1

    Purvakarma (Preparation) · Days 1–3

Doctor consultation, Nadi Pariksha and Prakriti–Vikriti assessment establish the individual’s constitution and current imbalance. Deepana–Pachana (digestive kindling) and graded Snehapana (internal oleation with medicated ghee) loosen deep-seated toxins, supported daily by Abhyanga (oil massage) and Swedana (herbal steam) to move them toward the gastrointestinal tract for elimination.

    Stage2

    Pradhanakarma (Elimination) · Days 4–10

The physician-selected elimination procedures are administered: Virechana (purgation) and/or a Basti (medicated enema) course form the core of most protocols, with Nasya, Vamana or Raktamokshana added only where clinically indicated. Shirodhara, Takradhara and, where appropriate, Pizhichil, Njavarakizhi or local Basti therapies support the nervous system and joints through this intensive phase.

    Stage3

    Paschatkarma (Rejuvenation & Reintegration) · Days 11–14

Samsarjana Krama gradually reintroduces solid food in a physician-supervised sequence to protect the digestive fire that has just been restored. Rasayana formulations support tissue rejuvenation, Udvartana (herbal powder massage) tones the body, and a final physician review closes the stay with a personalised take-home Panchakarma and nutrition plan.

    OUR APPROACH

How the Program Works, Medically, on Detoxification

Classical Panchakarma works by taking the body through its purification cycle in the correct order — nothing in this programme substitutes for that sequence, and no stage is skipped or compressed.

    • Preparation (Purvakarma). Internal oleation and daily oil massage and steam loosen ama from deep tissue and move it toward the digestive tract, so the elimination stage has something concrete to remove rather than working on a body that has not been prepared.
    • Elimination (Pradhanakarma). Virechana, Basti, Nasya and, where indicated, Vamana or Raktamokshana remove accumulated ama and correct the specific doshic imbalance identified at assessment, rather than delivering a generic detox to every guest regardless of constitution.
    • Nervous system support. Shirodhara and Takradhara run alongside the elimination stage because a sensitised nervous system slows digestion and elimination independent of the gut’s actual condition, and the intensive stage is more easily tolerated when the nervous system is settled.
    • Rejuvenation and reintegration (Paschatkarma). Samsarjana Krama and Rasayana rebuild digestive capacity and tissue strength in a graded sequence, because reintroducing normal food too quickly after elimination therapies undoes the gain rather than consolidating it.

Diagnostics run through every stage rather than sitting only at intake: doctor consultation, pulse diagnosis and Agni evaluation establish the baseline and are re-checked through the stay, so the physician adjusts the protocol against the guest’s actual response rather than a fixed template.

Nutrition and digestive guidance follow the treating physician’s recommendations.
Suitable movement and body therapies are selected according to individual suitability.
Restorative experiences are integrated where appropriate.
Rest, meditation and mindful routines support the overall programme experience.

    The Journey Within

    Every element has a purpose.
    Every experience connects.

Regeneration happens when the right elements come together at the right time. From personalised insights and nourishment to movement, therapeutic care and moments of stillness, your experience is thoughtfully orchestrated around your body, your needs and your capacity for change.

The aim is not to offer more treatments, but to create a more meaningful journey, one that supports lasting change in the way you feel, function and live.

    FAQs

Panchakarma is Ayurveda’s flagship five-action detoxification and rejuvenation therapy. It systematically removes deep-seated toxins (ama), rebalances the three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—and restores the body’s natural healing capacity. It is a clinical, physician-supervised protocol, not a spa treatment.
A genuine Panchakarma requires a minimum of 14 days to allow the three classical phases—preparation (purvakarma), elimination (pradhanakarma), and rejuvenation (paschatkarma)—to unfold properly. Shorter 3 to 7 day versions offer gentle cleansing but cannot complete the full detoxification cycle the way a 14- or 21-day programme does.
The five therapeutic actions are Vamana (therapeutic emesis), Virechana (purgation), Basti (medicated enema), Nasya (nasal administration), and Raktamokshana (blood purification). A treating Vaidya selects only the actions appropriate to your constitution and condition after assessment—not all five are used for every guest.
Panchakarma is generally gentle and deeply relaxing, though some elimination therapies can feel intensive and may cause temporary tiredness as toxins clear—sometimes called a healing response. All treatments are physician-supervised and adjusted to your comfort and capacity throughout the programme.
The programme begins with a consultation, pulse diagnosis (Nadi Pariksha), and prakriti assessment. The first phase, purvakarma, prepares the body through internal oleation (medicated ghee), external oil massage (Abhyanga), and herbal steam (Swedana) to mobilise toxins before the main elimination phase begins.
Panchakarma is used to support chronic fatigue, digestive disorders, stress, joint and inflammatory conditions, skin issues, hormonal imbalance, and metabolic concerns. It is also valued for preventive detoxification and rejuvenation in healthy people. It complements, and does not replace, conventional medical treatment.
Healthy people benefit greatly from Panchakarma as a preventive reset. Even without a specific condition, periodic detoxification clears accumulated toxins, improves digestion and energy, sharpens the mind, and strengthens immunity—making it a cornerstone of Ayurvedic preventive health.
During Panchakarma the diet is deliberately light and easy to digest—typically warm, freshly cooked foods and kitchari (a rice-lentil porridge)—to rest the digestive fire (agni). After the programme, foods are reintroduced gradually, and your doctor provides a personalised diet to protect the results.
Most seekers report lighter, more energetic, with clearer skin, improved digestion, deeper sleep, and a calmer mind after Panchakarma. Because the body has been deeply cleansed and rejuvenated, the benefits often continue to unfold in the weeks following the programme if the post-care routine is followed.
Panchakarma is not advised during pregnancy, for very young children, or for those who are extremely weak, acutely ill, or have certain medical conditions. A pre-arrival health assessment by the treating doctors determines suitability and customises—or excludes—specific therapies to ensure safety.
