A Regenerative Approach to Sleep, Circadian Rhythm & Nervous System Wellbeing

A personalised 7, 14 or 21-night journey designed to support restorative routines, sleep awareness, recovery and daytime wellbeing.

Our regenerative philosophy

Sleep is influenced by interconnected rhythms, including stress, light exposure, daily routine, digestion, physical tension and nervous-system activity. Understanding these factors helps shape an individualised approach.

The programme combines doctor-led guidance, Ayurveda, naturopathy, yoga therapy, acupuncture and mind–body practices, as appropriate, to support healthier routines around rest and recovery.

Restore. Rebalance. Regenerate.

Sleep wellbeing is not simply about trying harder to fall asleep. The journey considers daily rhythms, relaxation, movement and lifestyle habits together.

    Programme-specific duration and clinical sequence

7, 14 or 21 Nights — duration is not a pricing tier, it is a clinical decision. Each length unlocks a stage of the protocol that the preceding stage cannot substitute for.

    7Nights

    Foundation & Reset

Establishes the assessment baseline. Doctor consultation, sleep and circadian assessment, and HRV baseline are followed by the core nervous-system, Ayurvedic and naturopathic protocol, alongside the first evening wind-down routine. Sufficient to interrupt existing patterns of restlessness, disrupted sleep onset and digestive discomfort, and to install the habits the guest will carry forward. Acupuncture runs 4–5 sessions focussed on auricular points, stress regulation and sleep induction.

    14Nights

    Deep Restoration

Adds a mid-stay reassessment. A second wave of Ayurvedic and naturopathic therapies aimed at digestive comfort and deeper nervous-system regulation, progressive integration of restorative movement, and a mid-stay doctor review (HRV, sleep pattern reassessment). The additional week allows a measurable, doctor-verified change in sleep quality rather than a subjective impression of change. Acupuncture runs 8–10 sessions.

    21Nights

    Full Circadian Reset & Integration

Required for classical Ayurvedic sequences (extended Shirodhara and Takradhara courses, full Nasya protocols) to be delivered safely and completely, for weekly reassessment through the stay, and for the routines and nervous-system gains of the first two phases to consolidate into a durable, maintainable sleep rhythm. Acupuncture runs 13–17 sessions.

    OUR APPROACH

How the Program Works, Medically, on Sleep?

Deep, natural sleep requires a nervous system able to shift from sympathetic (“on”) to parasympathetic (“rest and digest”) state, on a schedule aligned with the body’s internal clock — nothing substitutes for that principle, and this programme does not claim otherwise. What differentiates the protocol is that this shift is supported and protected on five fronts simultaneously, so it is achievable without reliance on medication.

    • Nervous system down-regulation. Shirodhara, Nasya, Yoga Nidra, Pranayama, Cyclic Meditation and Acupuncture actively lower sympathetic activation and support a healthier evening cortisol curve, because an elevated stress response works against sleep onset independent of routine or environment.
    • Circadian re-entrainment. Consistent wake-sleep timing, morning light exposure and a structured wind-down routine retrain the body’s internal clock to feel sleepy and alert at the right times, correcting the drift caused by travel, screens and irregular schedules.
    • Digestive and hepatic support. Gastro-Hepatic Pack, Castor Oil Pack, herbal decoctions and earlier, lighter, sleep-supportive nutrition ease the digestive sluggishness and Vata aggravation that commonly disturb rest, improving comfort and consistency through the night.
    • Structural release. Abhyangam, foot massage, restorative yoga and gentle mobility work release accumulated physical tension, functioning as a passive complement to the nervous-system protocol so the body can settle as readily as the mind.
    • Behaviour change and long-term adherence. The Mindfulness programme and a structured take-home sleep-hygiene routine build the self-awareness and habit stability that determine whether improved sleep is sustained after checkout — the single largest failure point of conventional sleep interventions.

Diagnostics run through every phase rather than sitting only at intake: doctor consultation, HRV assessment, sleep-pattern tracking and Body Balance Assessment establish baseline and re-test through the stay, so the plan is adjusted against measured data rather than a subjective sense of feeling rested.

    The 5-Dimension Framework

“Every therapy in the 7, 14 and 21-night protocols is organised below under the clinical or experiential dimension it primarily serves, so the logic of the programme — not just its treatment list — is visible at a glance. Diagnostics are marked accordingly within their dimension.”

Note: Items above sit at different levels of scientific support, from well-established clinical evidence (e.g. sleep-hygiene correction, mindfulness-based approaches) to traditional Ayurvedic, Naturopathic and experiential practice. Traditional and experiential items are offered as supportive and traditional, not as proven, stand-alone treatments for diagnosed sleep disorders.

    The Regenerative Wellbeing Framework

Five Pathways. One Journey Towards Renewal.

Each pathway addresses a vital dimension of wellbeing while working in harmony with the others. Relevant assessments and personalised interventions are integrated throughout the journey, allowing the experience to evolve with the individual and support meaningful progress.

Daily rhythms, digestion and routine are considered in the sleep-support plan.
Relaxation, meditation and appropriate mind–body practices support winding down.
Movement and selected therapies address physical tension and recovery.
Calming sensory experiences are incorporated where suitable.
Awareness practices support a consistent, restorative routine.

    The Journey Within

    Every element has a purpose.
    Every experience connects.

Regeneration happens when the right elements come together at the right time. From personalised insights and nourishment to movement, therapeutic care and moments of stillness, your experience is thoughtfully orchestrated around your body, your needs and your capacity for change.

The aim is not to offer more treatments, but to create a more meaningful journey, one that supports lasting change in the way you feel, function and live.

    • A clearer understanding of sleep patterns and daily routines
    • A personalised wind-down and sleep-supportive routine
    • Greater awareness of light exposure, stress and other lifestyle influences
    • Restorative practices that can be continued at home
    • A take-home plan; ongoing sleep difficulties may require medical assessment

    Begin With Understanding

Your Regenerative Journey Begins With You.

Start with a conversation with the Swastik wellbeing team to discuss your needs, goals and current state of wellbeing. Together, the team can help identify a suitable duration and pathway, subject to appropriate clinical assessment.

    FAQs

A sleep optimisation programme is a structured wellness protocol designed to restore deep, natural, restorative sleep. At Swastik it identifies the root causes of poor sleep—stress, lifestyle, diet, or imbalance—and addresses them through Ayurvedic therapies, an evening wind-down routine, nutrition, and sleep-hygiene practices.
A sleep programme can significantly improve most lifestyle- and stress-related sleep problems by addressing their root causes, though it complements rather than replaces medical care for diagnosed sleep disorders. Many guests experience markedly better sleep within days as the nervous system calms and routines reset. This programme does not claim to cure insomnia and other chronic sleep disorders.
Sleep is when the body repairs tissue, consolidates memory, regulates hormones, and clears the brain of metabolic waste. Chronic poor sleep is linked to weight gain, weakened immunity, mood disorders, and metabolic issues—making sleep optimisation foundational to overall wellbeing.
Ayurveda links disturbed sleep most often to aggravated Vata (an overactive, restless mind) and to elevated stress, irregular routines, late screen use, and poor digestion. A sleep programme identifies your specific pattern and rebalances it through diet, therapy, and lifestyle correction.
Shirodhara—a continuous stream of warm oil over the forehead—calms the nervous system, slows mental activity, and induces deep relaxation, making it one of the most effective Ayurvedic therapies for insomnia and restless sleep. It is a cornerstone of many sleep optimisation programmes.
The programme typically includes a sleep and lifestyle assessment, calming therapies such as Shirodhara and Abhyanga, a sleep-supporting diet, evening rituals, breathwork and meditation, and personalised sleep-hygiene guidance—all tailored to your constitution and sleep pattern.
Yes. Heavy late meals, caffeine, and stimulants disrupt sleep, while warm, light, early dinners and certain calming foods support it. The programme adjusts your diet and meal timing as part of restoring healthy sleep, recognising the strong link between digestion and rest.
The programme helps reset your circadian rhythm through consistent sleep-wake timing, morning light exposure, reduced evening screen and blue-light use, and a structured wind-down routine—retraining your body to feel sleepy and alert at the right times.
Many seekers notice deeper, more continuous sleep within the first few days as stress reduces, and routines reset. Lasting improvement comes with maintaining the sleep-hygiene practices and routine at home, so the programme provides a personalised plan to sustain the benefits.
Key habits include consistent sleep and wake times, a calming pre-bed routine, limiting screens and caffeine in the evening, a light early dinner, and a dark, cool, quiet bedroom. The programme equips you with a personalised routine to protect your restored sleep.
The Sleep Optimisation programme takes place at Swastik Wellbeing in Peacock Valley, Khadakwasla, on NDA Road near Pune, Maharashtra—about three hours by road from Mumbai. It is a residential retreat, so guests stay on site for the full 7, 14 or 21 nights.
Duration is a clinical decision guided by your needs and suitability. Seven nights establishes an assessment baseline and the core protocol; 14 nights adds a mid-stay doctor review and a measurable reassessment of sleep and HRV; 21 nights allows extended classical Ayurvedic courses such as Shirodhara and full Nasya protocols, with weekly reassessment, so new sleep rhythms can consolidate.
No. Do not stop or change any prescribed medication on your own. The programme is designed to support natural sleep without reliance on medication, but it complements rather than replaces medical care, and any change to your medication should be decided with your prescribing doctor.
